This young athlete boasts considerable social media following
Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments this year and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He suggested me to play, have fun, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.
The young star boasts millions of followers and has started her own fashion and living brand.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
