Rob Edwards and O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Candidates

Edwards and Gary O'Neil are two of the initial candidates in the frame to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

Pereira was dismissed on the weekend following the team's 10-match winless start to the top-flight campaign.

And Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have previous associations to the club - are part of the options to be evaluated by the club ownership.

The manager is presently at another club, which would create a potential obstacle to his hiring at Wolves' stadium.

However the ex- Luton Town manager - who made over a century of games for Wolves during his playing career - is considered a leading contender for the vacancy.

The mid-career manager is said to have support from the club board as they begin the process of appointing a new head coach.

Gary O'Neil is additionally emerging as a surprise contender, although he would be a shock choice considering he was released by Wolves in the previous winter.

The former West Ham midfielder is currently unemployed meaning Wolves would not need to pay any compensation.
