Miami Heat & Trail Blazers Claim Initial Wins After Player Arrests
Miami put up 86 opening half points against the Grizzlies
The Heat secured a decisive 146 to 114 victory against the Grizzlies in their initial NBA match since player Rozier was arrested for alleged unlawful sports betting.
Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups was additionally arrested as part of a sweeping federal investigation into sports betting. The two individuals contest the claims.

League Commissioner Adam Silver 'Disturbed' by Arrests
Speaking about the detentions for the initial occasion, league head Silver stated he was "very upset" by the events of the past few days.
"There's nothing more important to the league and its fans than the fairness of the competition," he told a broadcaster. "Therefore I had a pit in my stomach. It was disturbing."
The commissioner further mentioned an league probe into Rozier's conduct in March 2023, when there was "aberrational betting" in a game he played for the Hornets versus the Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.
"We were informed by the authorities and the betting companies," he continued.
"We then looked into that situation and were very transparent regarding it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, honestly, couldn't find anything.
"Federal authorities has subpoena power... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can take various actions that the NBA can't do.
"Therefore, we've been cooperating from that point. Naturally, what they revealed recently was an indictment.
"Moreover two and a half years after, he has not been found guilty of any offense, in fairness to Rozier.
"Clearly, it appears unfavorable, but he's been suspended, and so it is a balance in this case between upholding rights and investigating."
